That ramp is the difference between a connection that stays put and one that intermittently drops out on a conveyor line or pump skid.

Insulation height is 0.555" (14.10 mm), and the mated stacking height is 19.4 mm. That stack height matters when you're routing the cable bundle under a cover or inside a control cabinet — measure the clearance before you commit the BOM.
