Right-Angle SMT Header for Tight Board Stacks
The 3-292173-4: This is a 4-position, single-row header from TE's CT series, terminated by surface-mount solder in a right-angle orientation. The 2.00 mm pitch keeps the footprint compact for general-purpose wire-to-board connections. The fully shrouded 4-wall design protects the square male pins from bending during mating and prevents mis-mating with the wrong receptacle. A detent lock provides positive retention without a secondary latch – it clicks home and stays there under vibration.
SMT Retention and Housing for Reflow Assembly
Solder retention features anchor the connector to the board during reflow and resist shear forces from cable strain after assembly. The natural PA6T housing carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating, meeting the standard for equipment inside an enclosure. Tin-plated mating surfaces (contact finish) are suited for cost-sensitive applications with moderate mating cycles – expect reliable performance in a clean, indoor environment. The brass contacts are square, 0.165" mating length.
