Pitch and position count set the footprint
The 3-292208-6: At 1.50mm pitch and 36 positions across two rows, this header packs a lot of signal paths into a compact board footprint — the row spacing is 2.00mm, so the overall width stays tight.
Voltage, temperature, and current — what the ratings mean
Rated 50 VAC, the header is suited for low-voltage signal and control circuits common in general-purpose industrial equipment — think PLC I/O, sensor interfaces, or internal wiring in a cabinet.
Termination is kinked-pin solder through-hole — the kink in the post provides retention during wave solder before the joint solidifies. The post length is 3.00mm, which suits standard 1.6mm PCBs with room for the solder fillet. For higher cycle life or corrosive atmospheres, a gold-plated variant in the Mini CT family would be the alternative.
That part is right-angle, not vertical, and has a natural (uncolored) housing. The 3-292208-6 doubles the row count and drops to 1.50mm pitch, so the board footprint and mating receptacle are completely different — they are not drop-in alternatives.
