Board footprint and mating header match
The 3-534206-0: The 2-row layout means 30 contacts per row, so the board trace fan-out needs to clear the through-hole tails on a 0.115" post length. In a high-vibration environment, a header with a locking ramp or a secondary retention clip would be a better choice.
The tin-lead post finish (150 µinch) is a legacy solder alloy; this part is RoHS non-compliant, so it does not meet EU RoHS requirements for new designs. The glass-filled polyester housing (UL94 V-0 rated) holds up in equipment that requires a flame-rated insulator.
How it compares to lower-position siblings
The higher current rating on the smaller parts comes from lower thermal density in the housing. For a 60-position board, the per-contact derating is already baked into the 2 A spec — no room to push it.
