Board-fit and routing details
The post length is 0.125" (3.18 mm) – a standard through-hole length that fits most 1.6 mm PCBs without excessive protrusion. The glass-filled thermoplastic housing maintains dimensional stability across that range.
It is a denser, more fully shrouded option for applications needing more circuits and a positive lock, but it trades away the gold plating and the wider pitch that simplifies routing. It offers many more circuits in a narrower pitch, but the tin plating limits mating cycles and the voltage rating is 125 VAC versus 600 VAC on this part. It is suited for automotive environments but does not match the 600 VAC rating or the gold-plated contact interface of this MTA-156 header.
