It mates with MTA-100 IDC receptacles or crimp-socket housings for a board-to-cable/wire connection. The single-wall shroud provides some keying against mis-mating, but it's not a full enclosure — the mating receptacle's walls do the rest of the alignment.
Pitch, positions, and board footprint
The contact length — mating side 0.295" (7.49mm), post side 0.140" (3.56mm), overall 0.535" (13.59mm) — gives enough tail for a through-hole solder joint without protruding excessively past the board bottom.
The post finish is tin, 150.0 µinch (3.81µm), which solders cleanly to the board. For a typical 22-24 AWG signal circuit, expect 3-4 A per contact at 30°C rise.
Locking and vibration resistance
It's a simple, positive retention — not a secondary lock, but enough to keep the pair mated under moderate vibration. In a panel or enclosure that sees occasional movement, this lock prevents the connector from walking apart.
RoHS3 compliant per the current directive.
