7-position right-angle header with friction lock
The single-wall shroud guides the receptacle onto the pins but leaves the top of the header open, which helps visual alignment during assembly.
The 0.100" pitch sets the board footprint: each pin occupies a 0.100"-spaced through-hole row. For a 7-position single-row header, the total board footprint spans 0.600" from pin 1 to pin 7 center-to-center. The right-angle body overhangs the board edge by the pin length — confirm the keep-out zone on the component side before layout.
Against the 1-292164-1: that is an 11-position, single-row header from the CT series with a 0.079" (2.00mm) pitch and tin mating finish. The 3-641216-7 carries gold plating and a wider pitch, trading density for mating cycle life and compatibility with the MTA-100 receptacle family.
