5-position MTA-156 header with friction lock
The 3-644615-5: This is a 5-position, single-row header from the MTA-156 series, on 3.96mm pitch. It mates with MTA-156 receptacle housings and uses a friction lock to hold the pair together under vibration — no secondary latch needed. The shrouded 1-wall design guides the mating receptacle into alignment, reducing pin damage during blind mating. Rated for 600VAC and a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C, it suits general-purpose and industrial applications.
Sourcing and compliance status
ROHS3 compliant, UL94 V-0 rated housing. Tin-plated contacts (150.0µin on both mating and post surfaces) provide a cost-effective interconnect for moderate mating-cycle duty.
Mating and termination details
Through-hole solder termination with a 0.125" post length. The overall contact length is 0.700", with a 0.450" mating length. Accepts the matching MTA-156 crimp terminals and receptacle housings.
