Single-row 3.96 mm pitch header with friction lock
The 3-644754-6: This MTA-156 header carries 6 positions on a 0.156" (3.96 mm) pitch in a single row — the board footprint is straightforward: one row of 6 through-hole solder posts spaced 3.96 mm apart, with the right-angle orientation keeping the mated wire assembly parallel to the PCB. For field-service environments where the harness gets tugged during maintenance, the lock is a first line of defense against backed-out terminals.
Mated stack height is set by the 0.300" (7.62 mm) insulation height — enough clearance for the wire exit without crowding adjacent components. The tin-on-tin interface can fret if the connector is mated/unmated often under vibration.
