Board-to-wire header with shrouded housing
The 3-644893-8 is the 8-position member of TE's CST-100 header line, a board-to-wire shrouded header with a friction lock for cable-side retention. Tin-plated square pins mate with CST-100 receptacle housings; the 4-wall shroud protects the pins during handling and guides the mating half into alignment.

A friction lock on the shroud holds the mated pair against vibration; the board guide on the housing aligns the header during through-hole insertion.
