MTA-100 IDC Plug, 7-Position, 0.100" Pitch
The TE Connectivity 3-647002-7 is a 7-position plug in the MTA-100 series, terminated via IDC for 26 AWG discrete or ribbon cable. The 0.100" (2.54mm) pitch is the series standard, and the closed-end blue housing prevents wire pass-through — useful for terminating the end of a cable run. Tin-plated male pins with 80.0µin (2.03µm) thickness are suited for cost-sensitive, low-mating-cycle applications where gold's corrosion resistance isn't needed.
The IDC termination is specified for 26 AWG wire only, in either discrete or ribbon cable form. The 24 AWG wire is not supported by this connector's IDC slot geometry — attempting to use it risks poor insulation displacement and intermittent contact. The closed-end feature means this plug terminates the last connector on a cable, not a pass-through point.
