Right-angle header for tight board-edge wiring

The right-angle orientation lets the cable exit parallel to the board, saving vertical clearance in a shallow enclosure. The single-wall shroud guides the mating receptacle and the friction lock holds the pair together under moderate vibration—enough to keep a 3-circuit signal line from fretting open on a conveyor or packaging machine.
Mates with standard MTA-100 IDC receptacles
The 0.100" pitch and square tin-plated male pins are the standard interface for MTA-100 IDC receptacles (e.g., 640456 series). The friction lock engages with the corresponding ramp on the receptacle housing, so you get a positive stop without a separate latch. Tin plating on both the mating and post sides keeps the per-unit cost low for general-purpose signal duty. For higher mating-cycle counts, a gold-plated sibling in the same series would be the better call.
