Through-Board Locking Terminal for Direct PCB Mount
It accepts 18-22 AWG wire and uses a tin-plated phosphor bronze contact. The terminal's locking barbs engage the hole wall, providing mechanical retention and electrical connection in one step. The PCB hole diameter must fall between 0.072" and 0.077" (1.83 mm to 1.96 mm) for the locking barbs to seat correctly — too tight and the terminal won't insert, too loose and it loses retention force.
Wire Prep and Termination
The terminal accepts wire insulation diameters from 0.060" to 0.110" (1.52 mm to 2.79 mm), covering the typical jacket range for 18-22 AWG stranded or solid conductor. Strip length should follow the manufacturer's crimp specification for the Mini Amp-In tooling. Overall terminal length is 0.220" (5.59 mm) — the portion that extends above the board after insertion depends on the PCB thickness and the depth the locking barbs engage.
RoHS3 compliant per the listing, suitable for assemblies bound for EU or other restricted-substance markets.
