Mating half and locking
The 3-794631-6: This is the male pin header half of the Micro MATE-N-LOK system. It mates with the corresponding receptacle housing (same series, 6-position, 2-row) that accepts crimp terminals. The locking ramp on the header engages the receptacle latch for vibration-resistant retention — no secondary lock needed in most panel or cable applications. The 4-wall shrouding protects the pins during handling and guides the mating receptacle into alignment, reducing the chance of bent pins in blind-mate or high-volume assembly.
