3.00mm pitch dual-row SMT header for wire-to-board
The 3-794635-6 is a 6-position, dual-row, shrouded header from the Micro MATE-N-LOK series. It mates with the corresponding Micro MATE-N-LOK receptacle housing to form a wire-to-board connection. The 3.00mm pitch sets the PCB footprint and the per-contact current ceiling — the current rating varies by wire gauge, so the limiting factor is the terminal and wire size, not the header contact itself. The mating contact finish is 30µin gold over nickel, rated for repeated mating cycles. In a field-service application where the connector is cycled quarterly, that gold thickness supports well over a century of service life at the contact interface. The header is surface-mount terminated and packaged in Tape & Reel (also available in Cut Tape), making it pick-and-place compatible for automated assembly.
Locking ramp and board lock for vibration resistance
The locking ramp on the header engages with the mating receptacle latch to secure the connection under vibration — a loose mate here would let the contacts fret and the circuit drop. The board lock adds a second mechanical anchor: it holds the header in place during SMT reflow and takes shear force off the solder joints when the cable is pulled or the assembly is handled. The full 4-wall shroud protects the male pins from damage during handling and guides the receptacle into alignment before the contacts engage. This reduces the risk of bent pins in a harness assembly environment.
