Board-to-cable/wire header for harness builds
The 3-794681-4: This is a vertical through-hole header from the Micro MATE-N-LOK series, designed for board-to-cable/wire applications—it mates with a crimp-style receptacle housing to create a wire-to-board interconnect. The 3.00mm mating pitch and 3.00mm row spacing set the PCB footprint; the 4-wall shrouding protects the pins during mating and misalignment.
Locking ramp and board lock for vibration resistance
The locking ramp on the shroud provides positive retention with the mating receptacle—audible click on full mate, and it resists vibration better than a simple friction lock. Board locks on the through-hole tails anchor the header during wave solder and help the solder joint survive cable strain and vibration.
