Board-fit and locking detail
This 338070-6 is a 6-position, 2-row receptacle from the Micro-MaTch series, pitched at 0.100" (2.54 mm) — the standard grid for signal-level board-to-board or cable interconnects. A friction lock on the housing holds the mating header in place under vibration — no secondary latch required, but the lock resists casual disconnection better than a plain shroud. Both the mating and post contacts are tin-plated. The forked contact geometry wipes the header pin on insertion, clearing light oxide.
Temperature, voltage, and material limits
Phosphor bronze contacts provide good spring retention over temperature; the tin plating on the post side is compatible with standard lead-free solder processes.
