What the 3-Row, 15-Position Layout Means for Your Harness
The 15 positions in 3 rows give a 5-per-row arrangement, which is a common circuit count for multi-conductor power and signal harnesses in the Universal MATE-N-LOK family. The 0.250" row spacing provides enough room between rows to route 14-18 AWG wire without the insulation crowding the adjacent cavity. The housing accepts both male and female contacts, meaning you can use the same shell for either the plug or receptacle side depending on which contact type you load.
Mating and Termination — What Fits This Housing
This plug housing mates with the matching Universal MATE-N-LOK receptacle housing of the same circuit count and row configuration — a 15-position, 3-row receptacle. The latch lock on the plug engages the corresponding ramp on the receptacle for a vibration-resistant mate. Termination is crimp-style: you select the appropriate Universal MATE-N-LOK crimp terminal (male or female, pin or socket) for your wire gauge, crimp it onto the wire, and insert it into the housing cavity until the terminal latch clicks. The housing itself has no contacts — they must be ordered separately as a line item on your BOM.
