What this 4-position header does for your board
The 0.250" (6.35 mm) pitch sets the board footprint and the spacing for the mating housing — a common spacing for medium-current power and signal interconnects in industrial and general-purpose equipment. The mating contact surface is plated with 30.0 µinch (0.76 µm) gold over nickel, which supports repeated mating cycles without corrosion — rated for field-service applications where the connector is cycled more than a few times. The solder tails are tin-plated for good solderability to the PCB.
Mating and termination fit check
This header mates with Universal MATE-N-LOK crimp-socket housings (such as the 350766 series) using the appropriate female terminals. Termination is through-hole solder — the contact length after the board is 0.155" (3.94 mm), which is a standard length for most PCB thicknesses. Insulation color is white, which helps with visual inspection on the board.
