5-Position Panel-Mount Housing for Universal MATE-N-LOK
Contacts Must Be Ordered Separately
The housing alone is an empty shell — the crimp terminals that carry current are a separate line item. For the Universal MATE-N-LOK system, the same housing accepts both male pin and female socket contacts, so the harness builder selects the terminal based on whether this half is the plug or receptacle side of the connection.
Mounting type is panel mount, snap-in — the housing presses into a rectangular panel cutout and the integral latches hold it in place without hardware. The locking ramp on the mating face engages the corresponding plug housing latch, creating a vibration-resistant connection that does not rely on screw threads or bayonet rings. For field service, the ramp releases with a squeeze tool or thumb pressure, allowing connector replacement without removing the panel-mounted half.
