Tin-Plated Contacts and Through-Hole Termination
Tin is the cost-effective choice for moderate mating cycles — expect 25-50 cycles before contact resistance starts to rise. For a harness that stays mated for the life of the equipment, tin is fine; for frequent disconnect, gold would be the upgrade. The 0.550" (13.97mm) insulation height leaves clearance for wire routing under the mated connector.
