The header is potted — the contact base is encapsulated in the housing. This seals the termination area against solder flux during wave soldering and against condensation in humid environments. It's a construction detail you don't see on standard unsealed headers, and it matters for appliance and white-good applications where the board sees washdown or high-humidity cycling. The 2 A ceiling is typical for signal-level circuits — don't plan to carry motor or heater current through this header.
