The 0.295" (7.49 mm) mating pin length and 0.140" (3.56 mm) solder tail length define the through-hole drilling depth and soldering profile. Compared to the 11-position 1-292164-1 from the CT series (2.00 mm pitch, tin contacts, 125 VAC), this MTA-100 header offers a wider pitch and gold contacts — better for applications needing higher voltage rating (250 VAC) and more mating cycles.
Termination and mating checklist
The mating half is a MTA-100 receptacle housing with crimp contacts — wire gauge selection determines the current rating. The single-wall shrouding provides keying and protects pins during handling. Friction lock engages with the receptacle's locking ramp; no secondary TPA is required.
