What the 10-position SMD header locks into
The SMD termination and single-wall shrouding suit it for board-edge wire-to-board applications where the PCB is the anchor and the cable assembly needs a guided, lockable interface.
Pitch, positions, and the board fit
At 10 positions loaded, the header occupies 1.00" of board edge. Compared to a 4-position 2-row header like the 1-1871673-2, this part trades density for a single-row layout that simplifies routing on a 2-layer board. The 0.100" pitch is wider than the 2.00mm pitch of a CT-series header (1-292164-1), giving more trace width between pads for higher current or easier fan-out.
