The 4-794625-6 is the 16-circuit member of TE's Micro MATE-N-LOK header line, a shrouded 4-wall board-to-cable/wire connector in a dual-row 0.118" (3.00mm) pitch layout. Gold-plated mating contacts rated 250 V, with a locking ramp for secure cable-side retention and a board lock for SMT reflow hold-down.
What the shrouding and board lock mean for assembly
The 4-wall shroud protects the male pins from damage during handling and guides the mating receptacle into alignment — useful in blind-mate or high-vibration environments. The board lock holds the header in place during reflow, preventing float or skew before the solder joints solidify.
