SMD Right-Angle with Solder Retention for Reflow
Surface-mount right-angle termination suits automated pick-and-place assembly. The solder retention feature anchors the header to the board during reflow, preventing skew from paste surface tension — a common issue with larger SMD connectors. After reflow, the retention pads also help resist shear forces from the mated cable assembly.
The UL94 V-0 nylon housing means it will not sustain flame inside an enclosure — a standard requirement for equipment that must pass safety certification. For a given wire size, the actual current capacity follows the derating curve in the series application note; the header itself is rated for the full series current when used with the correct receptacle and terminal.
