Termination and board mounting options
The through-hole mounting style with a 0.125" (3.18 mm) post length gives a solid mechanical anchor to the PCB, and the tin finish on the post is compatible with standard lead-free solder processes. Insulation height of 0.364" (9.25 mm) above the board surface leaves clearance for routing traces under the header body.
The locking ramp interface is common to all Micro MATE-N-LOK headers, so the mating half must include the corresponding latch feature. Tin-plated contacts are rated for fewer mating cycles than gold — budget for the expected disconnect frequency in the application.
