Board Layout Fit: Pitch, Position Count, and Orientation
Current Capacity and Contact Finish
The gold mating finish at 3.90 µinch (0.099 µm) is a signal-grade plating; it provides low contact resistance and corrosion protection for moderate mating cycles (50–100 cycles typical), but not the 500+ cycles a thicker gold flash would support. The post finish is tin (98.4 µinch / 2.50 µm) — standard for solder-joint reliability. Brass contact material with square pin shape mates with standard AMPMODU Mod II receptacles.
Common mating parts include the 2-826629-0 (40-position receptacle) or the 5-826629-0 (with locking ramp). Confirm the receptacle's contact finish matches the application duty — tin-on-tin for cost-sensitive, gold-on-gold for corrosive environments.
