SMB Field-Install Kit for RG-178 and RG-196
The 414002-7: It's designed for field termination on RG-178 and RG-196 coaxial cable, where the snap-on coupling gives you a quick, positive mate without tools. The 335 V rating is generous for the cable sizes this plug mates with — the limiting factor will be the cable's own voltage rating, not the connector.
The kit includes the ferrule and end cap. The free-hanging, right-angle orientation means the cable exits at 90 degrees to the mating axis — useful when you need to route the coax flat against a panel or chassis. The snap-on fastening is the standard SMB latching mechanism; it holds well under moderate vibration but isn't lock-ring secure like an SMA or TNC.
