The mating contact finish is gold at 30.0µin (0.76µm) thickness — a solid plating grade for environments where the connector will be mated and unmated multiple times, or where corrosion resistance matters. The post (solder tail) is tin-plated at 100.0µin (2.54µm), which solders cleanly to the board. A keying slot is present, which prevents mismating with receptacles that lack the matching key.
