The 1.27 mm (0.050 in) mating pitch with a 2.54 mm (0.100 in) row spacing sets the board footprint — the 60 positions occupy a 38.1 mm board edge. The through-hole right-angle orientation places the connector parallel to the PCB, suiting edge-mount applications where vertical clearance is limited.
