Board-edge signal interconnect for tight enclosures
The 5-104361-9: The shrouded 4-wall housing protects the male pins from bending during mating, and the board lock holds the part in place through wave solder, taking the shear off the pins when the cable is routed at an angle. Gold on the mating face (15.0 µin) and tin on the post (100.0 µin) — the gold side handles repeated mating cycles in field-service gear; the tin tail wets reliably in a standard solder wave. The operating range from -65°C to 105°C covers automotive underhood and medical equipment that sees thermal cycling.
Mating and termination checklist
The latch holder on the header locks with the corresponding ramp on the receptacle — audible click confirms full seat, and the keying slot prevents a reversed or wrong-series mate. Termination is solder to the through-hole posts (0.145" / 3.68 mm long).
