5-Position Power Triple Lock Receptacle Housing, 6.00 mm Pitch
The housing accepts tab-type crimp contacts (sold separately) and snaps into a panel mount for tool-less installation.
Glow Wire Compliance and High-Temp Rating
The Glow Wire Compliant feature (per IEC 60335-1) means the housing material resists ignition under a glowing-wire test at 850°C — a mandatory requirement for connectors inside white goods, HVAC, and kitchen appliances sold in Europe and other IEC-adopting markets. The -55°C to 150°C operating range exceeds the typical 105°C limit of standard Power Triple Lock housings, allowing this variant to be specified for engine-compartment or near-heat-source wiring where the ambient temperature regularly exceeds 100°C.
This housing ships without contacts. The tab-type terminals for the Power Triple Lock series are ordered as separate line items — typically the 1971773-x or 1971774-x crimp terminals for 14-20 AWG wire. The housing accepts the terminal from the rear and retains it with a primary latch; a secondary TPA (terminal position assurance) insert is available for applications requiring vibration-proof retention.
Panel Mount and Latch Lock
The Panel Mount, Snap-In feature allows the housing to be pressed into a rectangular cutout in a sheet-metal or plastic panel, eliminating the need for mounting screws or brackets. For field-service or high-vibration installations, the latch resists accidental unmating better than a friction-only fit.
