The 5-520315-6: It accepts flat flex cables 0.13mm to 0.38mm thick, single-sided contact. The tin finish is suited for low mating-cycle applications — 25 cycles rated — making this a fit-and-forget connector for internal board-to-cable links. Housing is black polyester thermoplastic, glass filled, rated UL94 V-0.
ROHS3 compliant. No official successor or cross-reference from TE Connectivity — this is the current production part for the 6-position, vertical, tin-contact variant in the Triomate series.
What the Tin Plating and 25 Cycles Mean
Tin contacts are cost-effective for one-time assembly or low-service applications. The 25-cycle rating means this connector is intended for installation where the FFC is mated once and left — not for repeated disconnect/reconnect like a gold-plated I/O connector. In a production harness, the tin interface wipes clean on first mate but frets under vibration if cycled often.
