This housing ships without contacts. The housing accepts the standard AMPMODU Mod IV crimp socket, which is inserted into the cavity and retained by a lance. No secondary lock or TPA is used on this housing — terminal retention relies on the lance engaging the cavity window. Make sure the terminal is fully seated; a pull-test after insertion catches incomplete seating before the harness leaves the bench.
The receptacle housing has no polarizing key or locking ramp, so orientation is set by the header's own shroud or by the harness routing. For applications subject to vibration, consider a header with a locking ramp or add a strain relief to the harness.
