Right-angle shrouded header for board-edge routing
Tin-plated contacts and current ceiling
The mating contacts are tin-plated over 100.0 µinch of nickel on a phosphor bronze base. Rated 3 A per contact. In a 20-position header, that means the full assembly can carry up to 60 A total if the board traces and cable harness are sized for it, but the per-contact current path through the pin and receptacle is the limiting element.
It ships in tray packaging — no tape-and-reel, so plan for manual or tube-fed placement. Sourced through independent distribution.
How this compares to a gold-plated sibling
If your application demands higher mating-cycle life (500+ cycles) or operates in a corrosive atmosphere, the gold-plated 5-103166-7 is the better fit.
