Mating half is an AMP-Latch IDC receptacle (strain-relief or standard) with the same 10-position, dual-row, 2.54 mm pitch layout. The latch lock/eject hooks on this header engage the receptacle's locking ears for positive retention — the long eject hooks also lever the receptacle off when you need to unmate it in a tight panel. The keying slot and mounting flange add polarization and mechanical stability: the slot prevents reverse mating, and the flange gives the solder joints extra shear strength if the cable is tugged after assembly.
For signal-level loads (logic, sensor, low-power I/O), this is well within the derating curve. The UL94 V-0 housing limits flame spread inside the equipment enclosure.
