Board Fit and Pin Layout
The 2.54 mm pitch matches the standard 0.100-inch grid, so the footprint lands on every other through-hole pad on a 0.050-inch grid board. All 14 positions are loaded — no unpopulated pins to confuse the BOM count. The keying slot prevents reverse mating — a simple but effective mis-mate guard for harness builders.
Current and Contact Life
The limiting factor is the contact-to-contact temperature rise in the 14-position body, not the brass pin itself. At 1 A the temperature stays well within the UL94 V-0 housing's continuous-use ceiling. In a connector that sees quarterly reconnects, the 30 µinch layer supports thousands of mating cycles before the base metal is exposed.
This header mates with AMP-Latch IDC socket connectors — the standard 14-position, 0.100-inch pitch ribbon-cable receptacle. Termination is through-hole solder.
