Contact finish and mating-cycle life
The mating contacts carry a gold or gold-palladium finish at 15.0 µinch (0.38 µm) thickness — enough for hundreds of mating cycles in field-service or test-fixture applications where the connector is cycled regularly. The solder tails are tin-plated at 100.0 µinch (2.54 µm), which wets well during wave soldering and matches standard through-hole assembly processes.
