The 531230-2 is a 2-position open-top shunt from TE's standard jumper line, designed to bridge adjacent pins on a 0.200" (5.08 mm) pitch header. The open-top profile leaves the pin tips accessible for probing or stacking a second jumper — useful during prototype bring-up or when you need to route test clips into a live board.

Gold plating and mating-cycle life

This plating grade resists oxidation on the contact interface better than tin, which matters when the shunt is opened and closed repeatedly during configuration changes or test sequences. The 0.200" (5.08 mm) pitch is twice the spacing of a standard 0.100" header, so the 531230-2 will not fit a 2.54 mm pitch pin row. It is intended for headers on the wider 5.08 mm grid, common on terminal blocks, relay sockets, and industrial I/O modules where board space is less constrained.
