Single-Wire Power Lock Housing for Inline Harnessing
The TE Connectivity 53894-1 is a 1-position Power Lock housing from the Power Lock series, designed for free-hanging inline wire-to-wire connections. Its self-mating design means two identical housings mate directly — no separate male/female halves needed — which simplifies inventory for harness builders running point-to-point power or signal lines. The housing is molded from white polycarbonate (PC), a material chosen for its impact resistance and dimensional stability over a wide temperature range. The single-row, 1-position layout accepts a non-gendered crimp contact (sold separately — see note below), terminated via standard crimp tooling. This is a housing-only part; the buyer must order the matching crimp terminal to complete the wire assembly.
Contacts Not Included — Plan Your BOM
For a typical two-housing inline splice, the BOM needs two housings plus two terminals per wire. Confirm the terminal part number against the TE Power Lock contact portfolio before placing the order.
