That makes it the correct choice for daisy-chained video or telecom signal distribution where an open port would cause a reflection and degrade the signal on the rest of the chain. If your system is built around 50 Ohm coax (common in RF test equipment and cellular infrastructure), this jack will present an impedance mismatch. It belongs in 75 Ohm video paths: broadcast video, CCTV, SDI digital video, and telecom DS3/ distribution panels. Rated to 2 GHz, the connector covers the full baseband video spectrum.
