1 A per contact — signal duty, not power
Use this for logic-level signals, not motor or solenoid drive. The UL94 V-0 housing keeps the connector compliant inside equipment that requires a flame-rated enclosure.
Latch lock and eject hooks — vibration-resistant mate
The long latch lock/eject hooks engage the mating AMP-Latch receptacle and provide a positive lock that resists vibration-induced separation. The eject function also helps break the friction fit when unmating a dense 14-pin connector in a tight panel.
Active production — no end-of-life cross-reference needed
RoHS3 compliant per the current revision.
That part is a 4-position header with detent lock instead of eject hooks, and its mating finish is tin (31.5 µinch) rather than gold — so it carries fewer cycles and lower corrosion margin. The 5499141-2 gives you 14 positions, gold plating, and eject hooks for higher-density signal harnesses that need field-service unmating.
