What this 40-pin right-angle header does for your board
The mating contacts are finished with 30 µinch gold or gold-palladium, rated for repeated mate/unmate cycles — useful in equipment that sees field service or test reconnections. Solder posts are tin-plated (100 µinch) for reliable wave-solder wetting.
Pitch, pinout, and what mates with it
The shrouded 4-wall housing with keying slot prevents reverse insertion and protects pins during handling. Mating half is any standard 40-position, 2.54mm pitch IDC socket or crimp receptacle from the AMP-Latch family. The latch lock/eject hooks (long version) provide positive retention and a lever to disengage the cable assembly without prying. Through-hole solder termination with 0.110" (2.79mm) post length fits typical 1.6mm PCBs. The mounting flange adds mechanical stability against cable strain.
Current, voltage, temperature — staying within limits
Rated 1A per contact at 250VAC. This is a signal-level connector — suitable for logic, data, and low-power I/O.
