14-position, 0.100-inch pitch, shrouded header for board-to-cable assemblies
The header uses latch lock/eject hooks — long-style ejectors that snap into the mating receptacle and provide a mechanical advantage for unmating. Combined with a keying slot and mounting flange, the assembly resists back-out under vibration and prevents cross-mating with non-keyed connectors. The through-hole solder termination with 0.110" (2.79 mm) post length fits standard 1.6 mm PCBs.
The 5499206-2 offers 14 positions on the standard 0.100" pitch with gold mating plating — a better fit for higher-cycle-count signal interconnects where the right-angle sibling's tin contacts would fret sooner. The right-angle part suits board-edge cable exits; the vertical 5499206-2 is the choice for a straight-through wire-to-board path.
