Battery-Pack Header for 7.2 V Applications
It uses male blade contacts on a 5.00 mm pitch, rated at 7 A per circuit — enough for the main power path in a typical 2S Li-ion or 6-cell NiMH battery assembly. The black PPA insulation handles the operating range of -30°C to 70°C, which covers most consumer and light-industrial battery enclosures. Right-hand keying and a board guide prevent mis-mating when multiple connectors share the same battery housing.
Through-hole solder termination — the header pins through the PCB and solders on the opposite side. No crimp tooling needed; the board is the assembly fixture. Nickel-plated brass contacts with 74.8 µin (1.90 µm) thickness; nickel is the standard finish for battery contacts where mating cycles are moderate and cost matters.
Keying and Mating
Right-hand keying means the header accepts a matching receptacle housing only from one orientation — critical in battery packs where a reversed connection damages the BMS or cells. The push-pull fastening type keeps the mate secure during handling but allows field-service disassembly without tools. Mates with the corresponding TE 7.2 V battery receptacle housing (not included).
