Board-to-wire header with a positive latch
The 6-1747072-6: This is a 6-position, single-row header from the Grace Inertia (GIC) series, designed for board-to-cable/wire connections. The 2.50 mm pitch sets the PCB footprint and the mating half — the corresponding Grace Inertia receptacle housing (sold separately) must use the same pitch and latch geometry. The latch holder fastening type gives a positive mechanical lock when mated, so the header won't walk out under vibration or cable tug. You should hear it click — if it doesn't, the terminal isn't seated. Rated for 50V and current that varies by wire gauge — the ampacity is set by the connected wire size and the crimp terminal's rating, not the header itself. Typical applications include general-purpose industrial control and automotive sub-assemblies where a compact, keyed connection is needed.
Shrouded housing and flame-rated insulation
The header is fully shrouded on all four walls, protecting the male pins from accidental shorting during handling and guiding the receptacle into alignment. The insulation is glass-filled PA66 nylon rated UL94 V-0, suitable for equipment inside an enclosure where flame retardance is required.
