6-Position Plug Housing for Grace Inertia Harnesses
The TE Connectivity 6-1971793-4 is a 6-circuit plug housing from the Grace Inertia GIC series, a wire-to-wire and wire-to-board interconnect family designed for vibration-resistant harnesses in automotive and industrial equipment. The 2.50mm pitch keeps the assembly compact while the latch lock provides an audible click on mating — the lock holds the pair together under the kind of constant vibration you get in an engine bay or on a conveyor line. The housing is yellow polyamide 6/6, rated for -30°C to 105°C operation, which covers underhood and cabinet environments. Contacts are not included — you order the matching female socket terminals separately.
Mating and Termination
This is a free-hanging (in-line) plug housing that accepts female socket crimp terminals. The latch lock on the plug engages with the matching Grace Inertia receptacle housing — the lock gives positive retention without needing a secondary clip. The crimp termination means you strip, crimp, and insert the terminal; the latch holds it in place. No soldering, no special tooling beyond a standard crimp hand tool for the terminal series.
