144-position right-angle SODIMM socket for board-edge memory
The 6-390112-1 is a 144-position SODIMM socket from TE Connectivity, designed for right-angle surface-mount attachment to the PCB. The 144 contacts match the standard small-outline dual in-line memory module interface used in laptops, embedded systems, and compact industrial computers. The socket accepts SDRAM-type memory modules with a card thickness of 0.039" (1.00mm).
Surface-mount termination with a right-angle insertion angle places the contacts perpendicular to the board edge. The mounting feature is normal, standard-top, meaning the socket sits on the top side of the PCB with the module inserted from above. Integrated board guide and latches align the module during insertion and hold it against vibration. The natural (uncolored) housing is a visual cue for assembly verification. Mated height from the board surface is 0.220" (5.60mm), which sets the clearance budget under the module for component placement on the opposite side.
