Tin vs gold plating on the same barrel
The 60888-1 uses tin plating on the contact. For applications requiring gold-plated mating surfaces, the 60888-2 shares the same 0.155" (3.94mm) barrel length and 22-26 AWG wire range but substitutes gold contact finish — the barrel dimensions and insulation diameter range are identical, so the two terminals feed through the same applicator tooling.
